Supporting suicide safety -
for professionals
Safer is a new workshop developed by the We CAN team. With a focus on supporting professionals in suicide risk assessment, and management this course provides a framework, tools, and exercises to support front-line staff to enhance their skills in risk management and safety planning while building confidence to intervene.
With an approach rooted in current suicide prevention research, cultural awareness, and international models, we have integrated de-escalation and emotional regulation techniques in our program to ensure a more holistic and therapeutic approach to client-centered work.
The objective is to support professionals in managing challenging situations with compassion and skill.
The curriculum includes but is not limited to;

Practitioner self-care.
