Our story so far...

We-CAN (Wellbeing Community Action Network) traces its roots back to our shared journey starting when we began working together in a University setting in Abu Dhabi.  It was here we discovered a mutual commitment to empowering vulnerable individuals. Despite our diverse backgrounds, our shared values and passion for building capacity and supporting others became evident early on.

Through training initiatives and program development, we quickly realised the impact we could make together and became firm friends. As we delivered the Mental Health Facilitator program (MHF) together we went on to train as Suicide First Aid (SFA) tutors and our focus began to expand beyond the university walls. We actively began reaching out to communities and connecting with entities to deliver essential mental health training.

Since then we have been busy having conversations, working to reduce stigma and also importantly championing wellbeing, good health and highlighting the importance of self-care in building resilience.
